Dual Practitioner Certification

Two Disciplines, One Practice

Hypnosis opens the door to a receptive state. NLP gives you precise instruments to use once you are through it. Ten days, two certifications, and a session architecture you can run the week after.

Your Journey

The Transformation Awaiting You

Before

  • Hypnosis understood through stage shows rather than clinical practice
  • Inductions that work on some people and mysteriously fail on others
  • NLP techniques collected as tricks, with no framework connecting them
  • No structure for a session beyond talking and hoping

After

  • Testing suggestibility first, then choosing the induction that fits
  • Running Ericksonian and direct-suggestion work with equal confidence
  • Applying anchoring, reframing and submodality shifts to a real problem
  • A defined session architecture from intake to discharge, with notes to match
About This Course

Trance, Language, and What the Evidence Says

Clinical hypnosis has a real evidence base — strongest in pain management, irritable bowel syndrome, smoking cessation and procedural anxiety. NLP's founding claims have fared less well under research scrutiny, though several of its techniques remain practically useful. This course teaches both, and is explicit about which is which.

Ten days split into two five-day tracks. Track one builds the hypnotherapy skill set from suggestibility testing through inductions, suggestion craft, parts therapy and abreaction management. Track two builds the NLP toolkit — anchoring, the Meta and Milton Models, submodalities, the fast phobia protocol and timeline work — and closes with the professional layer that turns technique into a practice.

What You Will Learn

Ten modules across ten days, in two certification tracks.

Track One · Clinical Hypnotherapy — Days 1–5

Trance Without the Stage Show

What trance actually is as a state of focused, absorbed attention — what the clinical literature supports, and where the evidence is strongest: pain, IBS, smoking cessation, procedural anxiety.

Suggestibility Testing

Arm levitation, hand clasp, eye catalepsy and the balloon-and-bucket test. Physical versus emotional suggestibility, and why matching induction style to the result changes success rates.

Inductions & Deepening

Progressive relaxation, eye fixation, the Elman induction, rapid and instant inductions, and confusion techniques — plus fractionation, staircase deepening and convincers.

Suggestion Craft

The rules of effective direct suggestion, then the indirect Ericksonian register: embedded commands, presuppositions, the double bind and therapeutic metaphor.

Parts Therapy & Abreaction

Identifying the part holding a behaviour and negotiating with it, age regression via the affect bridge, and stabilising a client who floods mid-session.

Track Two · NLP Practitioner — Days 6–10

The NLP Model & Rapport

NLP's presuppositions and the standing criticism of them. Representational systems, predicate matching, sensory acuity, and the pacing-and-leading model of rapport.

Anchoring & State Management

Setting, testing, stacking, chaining and collapsing anchors. The conditions that make an anchor hold, and the common errors that make one fade within a week.

Reframing, Meta & Milton Models

Content and context reframing, six-step reframing, the Meta Model's questioning set for recovering deletions and distortions, and the Milton Model as its artfully vague mirror.

Submodalities & the Phobia Protocol

Working with how an experience is coded rather than what it contains. Eliciting a submodality inventory, the swish pattern, and the double-dissociation fast phobia protocol.

Timeline Work & Clinical Practice

Timeline elicitation, releasing charge on a past event, installing a compelling future — then intake and consent forms, session architecture, pricing, and scope-of-practice boundaries.

How This Course Changes Your Practice

Two Credentials, One Programme

Hypnotherapy and NLP certifications together, at a lower combined investment than taking them separately.

A Repeatable Session Structure

Intake, testing, induction, intervention, testing, discharge — you stop improvising and start running a process.

Techniques That Test Well

The phobia and swish protocols produce a result you can verify in the room, which builds client trust fast.

Secular Framing

Reaches clients who would never book an energy healing session — widening your practice considerably.

Honest Positioning

You learn what each discipline can and cannot claim, so your marketing does not outrun your evidence.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can everyone be hypnotised?

Almost everyone can enter trance, but people vary in how they respond to suggestion. That is why the course teaches suggestibility testing before induction — you match the induction style to the client rather than using one approach on everyone and concluding some people "cannot be hypnotised".

Will I lose control or reveal things I do not want to?

No. Trance is a state of focused, absorbed attention, not unconsciousness or surrendered will. A person in trance can refuse a suggestion, stop the session, and remembers what happened. The course begins by dismantling the stage-show myths precisely because they get in the way of clinical work.

Is NLP scientifically supported?

NLP's founding claims — particularly eye accessing cues and preferred representational systems — have not held up well under research scrutiny, and this course says so directly. Several of its techniques remain practically useful, and you will be taught which claims you can make honestly and which you cannot.

Is this a government-recognised clinical qualification?

No. This is a private certification from Auviephy Institute. It is not a medical or psychological qualification and does not license you to diagnose or treat any condition. The final module covers exactly how to describe your scope of practice.

Why take both certifications together?

They work on the same territory from opposite directions. Hypnosis opens access to a receptive state; NLP supplies precise techniques for changing a pattern once you are there. Practitioners who hold only one commonly end up learning the other anyway.

Hypnotherapy and NLP as taught here are complementary practices. This programme is a private certification from Auviephy Institute; it is not a medical, psychological, or government-recognised clinical qualification, and it does not license the holder to diagnose or treat any condition. No therapeutic outcome is guaranteed.
